Job Summary
Senior-level data analytics role at Capital One in Plano, TX. Exercise discretion at a more senior level to mine diverse data sources using Open Source/Digital technologies, build and maintain data solutions, and enable self-service data consumption. Translate business needs into tools, metrics, and dashboards for insights and visualization. Drive analyses to inform business strategies and promote data quality through governance, metadata, and lineage. Collaborate with Tech teams to manage security and data access governance; develop tools to monitor and report data quality. Requires strong analytics, scripting, BI visualization skills, and familiarity with data languages and platforms; includes a requirement to pass a company assessment and potential participation in an Employee Referral Program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field and 5 years of experience in performing data analytics; or a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience; 3 years of experience with at least one scripting language; experience with a business intelligence visualization tool; experience querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms; must pass company assessment; eligible for Employee Referral Program; telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy but must live within commuting distance of Plano, TX office; Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization.
