Job Summary
Principal Cybersecurity Strategist responsible for shaping and governing Humana's multi-year cybersecurity strategy, acting as enterprise thought leader and advisor to executive leadership and board stakeholders. Leads strategic development of maturity roadmaps, investment priorities, and capability growth across healthcare and financial services domains, with emphasis on AI security, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional execution. Drives governance, communication, and change-management to align cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives, translating risk posture and regulatory expectations into a prioritized, achievable roadmap. This role requires significant experience presenting strategy at the board/executive level, influencing senior leadership, and collaborating with technology teams to deliver measurable security outcomes. Remote-friendly with occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings; relocation within preferred metro areas may be considered within 12 months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in cybersecurity, information technology, business, economics, organizational management, or related field
- Significant cybersecurity strategy experience, including enterprise-level planning and transformation
- Demonstrated success in developing and presenting cybersecurity strategies at the board/executive level
- Significant experience advancing cybersecurity maturity and capabilities in healthcare and/or financial services environments
- Proven expertise in AI security and the secure implementation of AI in cybersecurity practice
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare and financial services
- Consulting skills
- Experience leading large-scale organizational change and adoption of new technologies, processes, and systems
- Remote/WAH requirements: must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office; associated travel may be required
