Job Summary
Principal Cybersecurity Architect responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable security-focused software frameworks and IAM solutions across cloud (AWS) and on-prem environments. Lead adoption of coding patterns, drive secure architecture decisions, provide technical thought leadership, and mentor engineering teams. Implement and manage IAM protocols (RBAC, OAuth2.0, SCIM, WebAuthN, OPA, PBAC) with a strong emphasis on encryption, data security, and risk management, while exploring emerging IAM technologies and integrating cutting-edge solutions. Will oversee POC initiatives, guide architectural strategy, and collaborate with product, technology, and business stakeholders to elevate security posture.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- 10+ years of applied experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Strong focus on IAM architecture and implementation
- Proven track record leading large-scale IAM projects
- Deep expertise in software development using Java, Python, Node, or Golang
- Deep understanding of encryption, data security, and risk management
- Expertise in IAM principles: RBAC, OAuth2.0, SCIM, Authentication, WebAuthN, Authorization, OPA, PBAC
- Experience building performant, scalable microservices and frameworks for cloud (AWS) and on-premises
- API design, development, and security with enterprise-grade APIs
- Relational database skills (SQL, data modeling, HA architectures)
- Streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native development (AWS Lambda, ECS, S3, Aurora, API Gateway)
- DevOps practices
- Strategic thinking and communication with senior leaders
