Job Summary
Design and analysis of high-pressure gas supply assemblies, Joule-Thompson coolers, Stirling coolers, Dewar design, and Ultra High Vacuum Hermetic vessels for infrared sensor systems. Troubleshoot EO Cryogenic systems and prepare technical justification analysis reports while working closely with components suppliers. Occasional travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities. This onsite role at RTX's Tucson, AZ campus requires a Secret clearance and 8+ years of experience in cryogenics systems design, thermodynamic analysis, and structural analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in Thermodynamic, Heat Transfer Analysis and Structural Analysis
- Experience with Pro/Engineer and/or CREO
- Experience with fluid, pneumatic, vacuum, cryogenics systems design, analysis, or fabrication
- Onsite work in Tucson, AZ
Desired Qualifications
- Cryogenics System Design familiarity
- Experience with thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis and structural analysis
- Working knowledge of Pro/Engineer, CREO
- Mechanical aptitude to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
