Job Summary
Principal CPA with responsibilities spanning full client relationship management and strategic tax guidance. Lead and mentor the tax team (senior tax manager and 3 accountants), prepare and review personal and corporate tax planning and returns, analyze compensation and retirement structures for tax impact, conduct tax research across federal/state areas, develop KPIs to drive performance, respond to client notices, create projections and scenario modeling, and advise on organizational structure and entity formation related to taxes. Flexible, remote-ready role with opportunities to manage others; compensation starts at $120k-$180k with bonuses based on goals and metrics.
Required Qualifications
- CPA license/certification
- 8+ years in public accounting
- CPA with client-facing experience
- ability to manage client relationships
- experience with personal and business taxes
- proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero preferred, others ok)
- experience with tax preparation software
- ability to mentor and lead a tax team
- strong communication and time-management skills
