Principal CPA, Director of Tax (US - Remote)

Experienced Principal CPA leading tax engagements and client relationships for both personal and business taxes in a remote, full-time role. Responsible for mentoring a tax team (senior tax manager and 3 tax accountants), preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns, coordinating payroll planning updates, developing KPIs to monitor team performance, responding to client tax notices, creating tax projections and scenario analyses, researching federal/state tax issues, advising on organizational structures and entity formation related to taxes, and evaluating compensation and retirement plan structures as they relate to tax effectiveness. Comfortable with cloud-based accounting platforms and tax software, with a proactive, client-focused approach and strong communication to ensure deadlines and commitments are met. Open to a flexible, work-from-anywhere schedule and participation in company benefit programs. PS - a part-time Tax CPA option is available upon application.
