Job Summary
Principal CPA, Director of Tax role focused on managing client relationships end-to-end, delivering strategic personal and corporate tax planning, and leading a tax team within a fully remote, full-time capacity. Responsibilities include maintaining client satisfaction and quality control, mentoring a tax team (including a senior tax manager and 3 tax accountants), preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns and planning documents, updating payroll settings for planning goals, performing tax research across federal/state levels, performing projections and scenario modeling, advising on organizational structure and entity formation as it relates to taxes, and leveraging cloud-based accounting and tax software to drive data-driven decision-making. The role emphasizes client-facing communication, adherence to accounting standards, and proactive process improvements with flexible, remote work arrangements. Requirements include CPA certification with 8+ years in public accounting, strong written and verbal communication, experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (preferably Xero; also QBO, Sage, Netsuite), familiarity with major tax prep software, and experience using project management or practice management tools.
Required Qualifications
