Job Summary
Manage all aspects of multiemployer, private, and public sector active health and welfare plans, including cash flow projections, benefit change pricing, and business partner negotiations. Oversee client team staff, mentor personnel, and lead client and internal team meetings. Maintain client relationships and handle contract and invoicing processes. This role serves as a succession path to inherit major clients and act as a senior leading actuary within the firm. Based in McLean, VA, Charlotte, NC, Annapolis, MD, Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, or San Diego, with remote flexibility available.
Required Qualifications
- 20+ years of employer sponsored health care actuarial consulting experience in multi-employer and/or private sector
- Expertise in managing all aspects of multiemployer, private, and/or public sector active health and welfare plans consulting including review of actuarial results and health care work
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or related field, required
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); Access, SQL, and/or JAVA a plus; and familiarity with Business Intelligence programs (ex. Power BI, Tableau)
