Job Summary
Principal Consultant - Utility Revenue Requirements Specialist will prepare, file and defend revenue requirements requests and other regulatory filings for utility clients across North America; provide detailed analyses to support regulatory filings and defend materials; oversee and manage projects from start to finish; support expert witness testimony before regulatory agencies; research precedents on ratemaking and regulatory matters; assist with regulatory due diligence for M&A and support business development; travel to client sites and regulatory hearings across the US and Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required (Economics, Math, Finance, or Accounting)
- 5+ years of utilities revenue requirements experience
- Strong knowledge of utility regulatory policies and practices, tariffs, rate cases and filings
- Experience with revenue requirements and cost of capital
- Experience writing or providing expert witness testimony for utility rate cases
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
- Very strong communication and presentation skills, including Microsoft Office suite
