Job Summary
Principal Consultant - Toxicology provides scientific direction for the Toxicology program within the Technical Consulting Team, mentors colleagues, and develops written assessments and regulatory materials. The role involves staying current with standards and regulatory directions, presenting at seminars and trade shows, training clients (onsite or virtually), collaborating across departments, conducting literature reviews, building process improvements, and supporting regulatory responses. The candidate should publish articles, lead projects with customers, manage STAT requests, and act as a subject-matter expert on global regulatory calls/projects. Travel to domestic and international events may be required; role operates in a professional office and laboratory setting. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Toxicology (PhD preferred), ABT certification preferred, 7+ years of experience, strong communication and technical writing skills, and experience with GMP/GLP/ISO regulatory frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Toxicology (or related field) is required
- Doctorate in Toxicology (or related field) or postdoctoral fellowship highly preferred
- American Board of Toxicology Certification highly preferred
- 7+ years related work experience
- Strong background in Chemistry as well as Toxicology
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Leading cross-functional teams and client engagements
- Regulatory knowledge across GMP, GLP, ISO standards
- Ability to mentor and train junior staff
- Experience with risk assessments, regulatory responses, and technical protocols
- Active participation in ISO or AAMI working groups
- Ability to present at conferences and seminars
- Proven project management and leadership capabilities
