Job Summary
The Principal Consultant for ERM's Social Impact and Human Rights (SIHR) will drive business development initiatives and technical leadership in social impact, focusing on integrating social/human rights services into existing offerings. Responsibilities include collaborating with senior leaders, mentoring social practitioners, and maintaining a client-focused approach. The role requires a deep understanding of social/human rights standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster senior-level client relationships across South East Asia. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or PhD, 12+ years of relevant experience, and fluency in English.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in social sciences, sociology, Anthropology or related discipline
- 12+ years of experience in the development sector with experience in consulting, business development, and client servicing
- Previous experience of working with multidisciplinary teams in a consulting environment
- Experience managing large/complex projects across social impact and human rights
Desired Qualifications
- Practical knowledge and understanding of quantitative analysis tools and techniques for social data management
- Functional knowledge of international social and human rights standards, including IFC/WB, UNGPs
- Well-developed team leadership and influencing skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of Bahasa, Malay, or Chinese is an advantage
