Principal Consultant – Operational Analysis

Job Summary
Lead business development by writing technical approaches for bids and presenting to prospective customers while collaborating with Account Leads to identify new capability needs. Drive strategy by assisting in setting departmental vision, integrating Analysis and Innovation across Sagentia, and communicating aligned goals internally. Develop service offerings in Operational Analysis, Approvals Assurance, Decision Support, and Modelling and Simulation to match account demand signals. Manage team performance through coaching, leading meetings to coordinate activities, and mentoring employees across grades. Ensure project quality by providing technical guidance and reviews on deliverables, while working with stakeholders to improve policy, strategy, and planning. Support Government procurement decisions with evidence-based research on new equipment and technologies.
Required Qualifications
- In existing right to live and work in the UK
- Either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting their employment with the company
- To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years' UK residency
- Degree level qualification or relevant experience
- Defence or government experience
- An Engineering Chartership or equivalent relevant to the role
- Applicants must be sole UK nationals
- Applicants must be capable of satisfying the associated security vetting requirements

- experience in: Providing technical guidance and reviews to ensure project deliverables are of a high quality and meet customers' expectations
- experience in: Leading teams in a consultancy setting
- experience in: Working within public sector with knowledge of government processes
- experience in: Managing a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
- experience in: Mentoring employees across all grades
- experience in: Contributing and leading successful bids/technical proposals
