Job Summary
Investigate and analyze existing conditions or historic events in residential, commercial, industrial, and public venues to evaluate and control exposure to health hazards such as noise, microbial contaminants, fire effluents, mold, workplace accidents, and other subjects. Operate sampling and testing equipment while communicating with clients regarding project scope, schedule, and budget. Prepare oral and written reports documenting findings, analysis, and conclusions, with potential testimony in deposition and/or trial. Manage, plan, coordinate, and complete investigations to address complex questions requiring minimal oversight. Local and occasional overnight travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree in a science or engineering field
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience
- Must be a Certified Industrial Hygienist
- Strong regulatory experience specific to Federal and/or state OSHA regulations
- Must possess strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas to a broad audience
- Must be able to perform with minimal oversight
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
