Principal Consultant in Product Lifecycle Management - Aerospace & Defence

Job Summary
Lead PLM transformation projects in Aerospace & Defence, defining business operating models and processes while acting as the bridge between clients and Systems Integrators. Support clients through end-to-end product lifecycle delivery, including Digital Engineering, BOM management, and change configuration. Manage stakeholder alignment, shape investment roadmaps, and collaborate with vendors to execute game-changing solutions. This role requires 10+ years of PLM leadership experience, preferably with Siemens, and is based in Bristol, London, or Manchester with hybrid work. Security clearance may be required for UK positions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of PLM experience
- Experience working with the major PLM vendors to design and deploy their solutions
- Deep hands‐on expertise in core PLM processes, such as BOM management, change/config, variant/options management, systems engineering, CAD/CAE integration, ALM, maintenance and through‐life support
- Experience in shaping business cases and implementation roadmaps for investment in PLM solutions
- Ability to hold executive level conversations to build alignment on a PLM transformation vision
- Prior consulting experience
- Ability to manage client stakeholders
- Experience of supporting the sales process as well as delivery
- Experience and knowledge of key working practices in Defence, or other discrete manufacturing industries
- UK security clearance
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard
- At least 5 years of continuous residency in the UK
