Job Summary
Principal Consultant - BO Administration responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the SAP Business Objects BI environment to ensure smooth reporting and analytics operations. Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining BO servers (Web Application Servers, App Servers, Database Servers), system monitoring and troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrades and patch management, backup and recovery, security and permissions (CMC, SSO), and report management (WebI, Crystal Reports). Requires experience with SAP Business Objects Suite (BO XI 4.x/BI 4.x or SAP Analytics Cloud), Universe Design Tool (UDT) or Information Design Tool (IDT), SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), data warehousing and ETL concepts, and strong leadership and client-relations skills. Hybrid work type in India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology
- Masters degree in Software Engineering (optional per listing)
- Experience in SAP Business Objects administration and BI environment management
- Proficiency with BO XI 4.x/BI 4.x or SAP Analytics Cloud
- CMS/CMC administration, BI Launch Pad configuration
- Universe Design Tool (UDT) or Information Design Tool (IDT) for universes
- Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and other BO reporting tools
- SQL knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Data warehousing and ETL concepts
- Security setup including SSO integration
- Experience with Oracle Apps Financials and Oracle Fusion Cloud certifications
- Oracle/BO reporting and administration tools
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
