Job Summary
Lead high-value air quality consulting projects in the Midwest for ERM, driving strategic growth, regulatory compliance, and innovative solutions. Partner with major industrial clients, mentor junior staff, manage complex permitting and compliance programs, and expand ERM’s air quality services through technical excellence and business development. Role targets the Great Lakes region (IL, WI, MI, MN) with a hybrid working arrangement and a base pay of $127,648–$163,088 annually; professional certifications (P.E., CSP, CHMM) and expertise in air dispersion modeling, storm water, RMP/PSM, CEQA permitting, and cross-functional collaboration are valued. Candidates will support global coordination and deliverables across ERM’s sustainability services, contributing to client relationships and market strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering (chemical, environmental, mechanical) or related field
- 6+ years of air quality consulting experience with technical depth in air emission inventories, Title V, PSD, NSR, BACT, and MACT
- Proven “seller/doer” track record with success in winning strategic projects
- Strong project management skills (scope, budget, schedule)
- Recognized expert in federal and state air regulations
- Negotiation experience with regulatory agencies
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
- Driver's License Required
