Job Summary

Establish and maintain configuration baselines for products, systems, or projects while ensuring all components and documents are clearly identified and controlled. Manage changes through formal change control processes, coordinate Configuration Control Board meetings, and maintain accurate records of configuration item status. Conduct configuration audits to verify compliance and track implementation of approved changes, ensuring physical and functional configurations match documentation. Serve as an advocate for the program by delivering Contract/Supplier Delivery Requirements Lists and analyzing proposed design changes to determine effects on drawings and specifications. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and project management teams to support project objectives throughout the lifecycle, continuously evaluating processes to maintain quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience
  • Master's degree with 3 years of experience
  • High School diploma / Equivalent with 9 years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience
  • Master's degree with 6 years of experience
  • High School diploma / Equivalent with 12 years' experience
  • Knowledge of hardware configuration, data and change management principles
  • Proficiency in the use of configuration management tools (Confluence, SharePoint)
  • Proficiency in Windows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel & PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe, and other related CM programs
  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and cultivate positive, productive relationships with colleagues by leveraging strong interpersonal and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of configuration management functions, processes, and best practices
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 10007, or MIL-STD-973/IEEE 828
  • Keen attention to detail for managing complex datasets and configuration items
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively work with all levels of the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills along with the ability to understand and communicate technically oriented material
  • Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of configuration data
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance activities
