Job Summary
Lead complete engine calibration development activities for entire engine families, including base engine calibration on dynamometers and drivability tasks on boats. Develop new software strategies for Mercury products covering emissions control, OBD, shifting, and vessel control, while defining and executing 1D simulation and co-simulation plans. Construct comprehensive engine test/development plans coordinating cross-functional resources and provide technical guidance to resolve manufacturing, supplier, or field issues. Implement performance initiatives by creating and improving internal development, validation, and calibration processes to increase release speed and efficiency. Integrate disciplined DFSS methods for root cause failure determination and provide training to newer engineers and technicians. Travel 8-10 weeks per year. Located in Oshkosh, WI & Fond du Lac, WI.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 8 years of experience in engine or vehicle calibration
- Experience with internal combustion engines and development of new engines
- Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis
- Experience with engine control or vehicle control software and development
- Experience with DAQ setup, programming, and troubleshooting
- Visa Sponsorship: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States

- Able to travel 8-10 weeks per year
Desired Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience with creating and specifying engine control system strategies
- Experience with modeling of engine and engine control systems using Simulink (or equivalent)
- Experience with creation and analysis of Design of Experiments including regression analysis
