Job Summary
Principal BAW Device Engineer (Starlink/Akoustis) develops and improves BAW resonator performance and RF filter designs using MEMS-based XBAW technology. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing FEM/FEA setups (COMSOL, HFSS) for BAW resonator simulations, improving resonator performance and process integration, guiding experimental DOE and statistical analysis of RF test results, and supporting filter design with dimensions and models. This role also entails creating resonator equivalent circuit models, planning experimental setups, and addressing reliability and yield improvements. ITAR requirements apply; candidates must meet U.S. citizen or eligible status per ITAR, with SpaceX Equal Opportunity Employment practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience with semiconductor devices, RF, antenna, or communication systems (internship and extracurricular experience is applicable)
