Principal Backend Engineer

Lead technical strategy and architecture for end-to-end software solutions and guide design for scalable, high-performance backend services. Serve as a technical leader and system architect, partnering with senior leaders to drive engineering vision across e-commerce platforms. Architect end-to-end software using modern frameworks, lead high-traffic system design discussions, uphold best practices for code quality, security, accessibility, and data privacy. Drive project leadership, oversee feature implementation, and optimize distributed systems using Spring Boot microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies. Build and maintain databases (MySQL, Oracle), caching (Redis), service registration (Eureka), and monitoring/logging (ELK). Manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, ensure reliability, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires remote work from India under an Employer of Record arrangement and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development.
