Job Summary
Principle Architect position leading architectural design efforts in Hazen and Sawyer's Midwest Region for water and wastewater sector. Responsibilities include directing architectural work through the project lifecycle, developing schematic and construction documents, coordinating with internal/external teams (treatment process, structural engineering, project management, field staff, code officials), interfacing with clients/consultants to align on project goals, ensuring QA/QC during design phases, and assisting in budget and schedule development. Requires professional architectural degree, 7-12 years of broad architectural experience (industrial building design), licensed or taking exam in Ohio, strong knowledge of state/national building codes, budgeting/scheduling/quality accountability, experience with public bid projects, environmental regulations and sustainability concepts, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, rendering software, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Required Qualifications
- Professional Architectural Degree from an accredited university
- 7-12 years broad-based architectural experience including industrial building design
- Licensed Architect or seating for exam in Ohio
- State and National Building Code knowledge
- Experience with budget/schedule/and quality responsibility
- Experience in public bid projects
- Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability concepts
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit BIM software, AutoCAD, Rendering software, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
