Job Summary
Lead FTTP technology and architecture for broadband access; define FTTP solutions for cable operators, prototype and field-test; develop strategic technical collateral; collaborate with operators and partners; drive innovation in FTTP deployments; identify requirements and scenarios for FTTP deployments; ideate innovative concepts and provide prototyping and proof-of-concept demonstrations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelors degree in electrical, computer, or network engineering or similar field, or equivalent related experience
- 12+ years of education and leadership experience in FTTP technology and deployments
- Knowledge of ITU PON system architectures, switching/routing, quality of service, broadband network gateways
- Experience with DOCSIS systems is a plus
- Knowledge of outside fiber plant architectures and components is a plus
- Familiarity with testing, debugging and evaluation of communication systems
- Experience with network switches and routers (L2/L3) is a plus
- Ability to present technical concepts to subject matter experts and executive-level stakeholders
