Job Summary

Principal Applications Engineer I-III responsible for evaluating, selecting, developing, and executing programs related to product and process characterization, continuous improvement, equipment design, specifications, and quality system implementation. May oversee capital projects such as building new production facilities or upgrades. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective processes; applies mechanical, electrical, chemical, or process engineering to design and improve systems; drives management initiatives to meet business objectives and ensure quality, safety, and sustainability. Roles include leading cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance, mentoring engineers, evaluating risks and mitigations, ensuring regulatory compliance, staying current with industry trends, conducting process simulations/analyses, owning projects, implementing process control strategies, performing safety assessments, creating customer and stakeholder presentations, and developing safety protocols. Levels II and III add portfolio management, strategic alignment with long-term objectives, advancement of technologies, larger-scale projects, and external leadership activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Principal Applications Engineer I: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 8+ years; PhD with 6+ years; equivalent combination accepted. Preferred: Experience with Photo Lithography or advanced Semiconductor Packaging.
  • Principal Applications Engineer II: Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience; Master's with 10+ years; PhD with 8+ years; equivalent combinations accepted. Preferred: Experience with Photo Lithography or advanced Semiconductor Packaging.
  • Principal Applications Engineer III: Bachelor's Degree with 14+ years of relevant experience; Master's with 12+ years; PhD with 10+ years; equivalent combinations accepted. Preferred: Experience with Photo Lithography or advanced Semiconductor Packaging.
