Principal Application Engineer-Simufact

Job Summary

Conduct end-to-end pre-sales and post-sales support for Simufact manufacturing simulation solutions, including Forming, Welding, and Additive. Deliver technical demonstrations, Proof of Concept studies, and feasibility analyses while assisting customers with model creation, material definition, and solver execution. Support project implementation across automotive, metals, and new energy industries through troubleshooting, customer training, and hands-on workshops. Collaborate with sales teams on proposal development and benchmark evaluations. Monitor industry trends to contribute to product improvement initiatives and develop technical documentation and case studies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Materials Forming, Materials Processing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Additive Manufacturing, or related disciplines
  • Solid understanding of finite element analysis (FEA), material constitutive behavior, metal forming theory, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to independently perform model preparation, mesh generation, material setup, boundary condition definition, simulation execution, and results analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide customer-facing technical support
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training delivery skills
  • Team-oriented with willingness to travel occasionally for customer support and project implementation
  • Ability to read technical documentation in English
  • verbal technical communication skills in English

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Simufact Forming, Simufact Welding, Simufact Additive, FormingSuite (FTI), MSC Marc, MSC Nastran, or related CAE software
  • Industry experience in automotive OEMs, automotive suppliers, tooling and die manufacturing, steel production, advanced equipment manufacturing, or new energy industries
  • Practical project experience in sheet metal forming, forging, welding, heat treatment, or additive manufacturing simulation
  • Previous experience in CAE technical support, application engineering, manufacturing process development, or simulation project implementation
  • Familiarity with manufacturing process optimization and digital manufacturing workflows
