Job Summary
Design RF microwave components and phased array applications, integrating and testing component-level and system-level hardware. Lead program activities by managing cost and schedule while coordinating with other IPTs and functions. Provide technical direction, coordinate stakeholder decisions, and support production activities through proposal writing and presentations. Some travel to integration sites and customer facilities may be required. This onsite role at Raytheon focuses on developing new technologies for advanced radar systems and supporting life-cycle phases of active worldwide deployments.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of eight years of prior relevant experience
- Microwave/RF system, subsystem and component analysis, design and test
- Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Mentor Graphics' Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab
- Some travel to integration sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Background designing and testing analog CCAs, including frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design and analog filter design
- Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component level
- Knowledge of cost estimating, plus budget and schedule management
- Strong academic background that includes courses in: Microwave Engineering, Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Theory and Radar Systems
- Strong hands on experience with microwave testing techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs)
- Team leadership skills including cost and schedule management
- Proposal writing and presentation experience
- Lead roles dependent on experience and career goals
- Leads are responsible for cost and schedule for a program and interface with other IPTs and functions to coordinate program activities
- Other leads are responsible for technical direction and coordinating stake holders in technical decisions
