Job Summary

Principal Analyst at Zopa. Drive analytics-wide innovation and identify opportunities created by AI, modern analytics tooling, and evolving platform capabilities. Define and execute strategy for semantic layers, self-service analytics and metric governance. Raise technical standards across the analytics community; own and evolve strategically important analytics products and senior leadership reporting. Partner with Product, Data, Engineering and Analytics leaders to shape the future of analytics; coach and influence analysts; lead experimentation with emerging technologies; influence platform, tooling and architectural decisions. The role is hybrid with a London office 2-3 days a week and offers the option to work from abroad for up to 120 days a year, subject to right to work in the country of choice. About you: deep expertise in analytics disciplines, strong coding and analytics tooling skills, stakeholder influence, knowledge of semantic layers and metric governance, and a keen interest in AI and its impact on analytics.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in analytics, BI, analytics engineering, or data strategy
  • Strong technical capability in coding, analytics tooling, data modelling and analytics architecture
  • Proven track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels and driving meaningful change
  • Knowledge of semantic layers, metric governance, self-service analytics and modern BI concepts
  • Active interest in AI and experience or exposure to AI-enabled analytics capabilities
  • Ability to operate across strategic discussions and hands-on delivery in a financial services context (helpful but not essential)
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and shaping long-term strategy while delivering tangible results
  • Experience partnering with Product, Data, Engineering and Analytics leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience coaching or mentoring analysts and raising capability across teams
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid London-based role with the option to work from abroad up to 120 days a year
