Principal Analyst, Forecasting

Job Summary
Own the design and delivery of complex, high-visibility forecasts across Ex-US markets, including patient-based prevalence models, demand-based approaches, and hybrid launch strategies. Serve as the pod's methodology expert, defining assumption documentation standards, enforcing audit trails, and driving variance-tracking governance to ensure reproducibility. Lead sophisticated scenario and sensitivity analyses for competitive entries, pricing changes, and indication expansions while introducing advanced statistical techniques to improve accuracy. Act as a trusted analytical advisor to brand teams, finance, and global stakeholders, translating model outputs into decision-grade narratives for S&OP and portfolio cycles. Mentor junior analysts through technical coaching and knowledge sharing while designing reusable model templates and dashboard frameworks in Excel, Tableau, or Power BI. Drive automation initiatives using AI and GenAI tools to accelerate assumption research and documentation within the GCC Commercial Analytics & Insights organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- 5-6 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical forecasting or related quantitative areas
- Experience supporting Ex-US markets is required, particularly EU markets
- Strong working knowledge of pharma data assets such as IQVIA MIDAS, local audit data, prescription and claims data, and epidemiology sources for Ex-US markets
- Advanced Excel skills for forecast model construction
- Demonstrated ability to design reusable templates and frameworks
- Strong experience with Tableau or Power BI for forecast tracking, scenario reporting, and commercial performance dashboard development
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a methodology reference point and to mentor less experienced analysts
- Proficiency in coding techniques such as Python, R, or SAS for time-series analysis, automation, and reproducibility
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Analytics, Economics, Data Science, Business, or a related quantitative field
- Relevant certifications in forecasting, analytics, cloud platforms, or statistical methods
- Exposure to Asian or Latin American markets
- Familiarity with cloud analytics environments (Databricks, AWS, Azure) and forecasting platforms (e.g., Anaplan, JDA/Blue Yonder, SAP IBP)
- Fluent communicator across India-EU-Asia-LatAm time zones and organizational levels
