Job Summary
Lead and perform static and dynamic stress analysis on products using Abaqus, Optistruct, Hypermesh, and LS-DYNA. Develop and review reports detailing failure modes and recommended design solutions to reduce risks during qualification testing and deployment. Manage all analysis workload, ensure staff training, and oversee the development of supplemental analysis tools. Provide technical writing to support corporate needs and assist in department budgeting for analysis software and bids. Requires US citizenship, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering, and 10+ years of FEA experience.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in static and dynamic stress analysis in a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) solver or 5+ years of experience directly related to ArmorWorks' products
- Expert understanding of static and dynamic analysis theories
- Strong work ethic, problem solving, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with DoD product development related to ground combat, marine, and aircraft platforms
- Analysis experience with composite materials
- Experience using SolidWorks
