Job Summary
Setup and maintain the AMS simulation environment for CMOS FinFET and BiCMOS high-speed design projects, collaborating closely with analog design teams and EDA vendors to resolve simulation issues. Benchmark AMS simulation tools, present findings to design teams, and define custom circuit checks and model QA flows. Develop automation scripts in TCL, Python, or SKILL to enhance design and verification team efficiency while working on device/circuit modeling topics with TCAD and foundry technology teams. This role supports the Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Methodology team, focusing on advanced simulation flows for design entry, parasitic extraction, and post-layout verification within Marvell's semiconductor infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
- 5-10 years of related professional experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3-5 years of experience
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3-5 years of experience
- Equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degree
- Experience in setting up and maintaining analog/mixed-signal simulation flows for advanced FinFET process technologies
- Proficiency in using industry standard analog/mixed-signal simulation tools such as ADE, AMS Designer, Spectre, FineSim, AFS, etc.
- Good understanding of AMS flows including design entry, simulation, parasitic extraction and post-layout simulation
- Understanding of device models
- Experience in debugging complex high speed analog/RF simulation issues
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge in Virtuoso Schematic Editor, PDK, CDF, netlisting
- Programming skills in TCL, Python, Perl, SKILL, etc.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams
