Job Summary
Lead enterprise AI workflow modernization and automation strategy for a healthcare payer context as a Principal AI Workflow Engineer. Drive enterprise process discovery, opportunity assessment, and end-to-end automated workflows across clinical and operational domains; architect scalable, compliant automation solutions with governance, privacy protections, and healthcare requirements. Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and business partners, translating business needs into actionable automation requirements, leading training and enablement, and shaping adoption. Influence enterprise standards, design patterns, and strategic tooling to sustain long-term automation growth while collaborating with care management, pharmacy, utilization management, and policy teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in workflow automation, process redesign, business systems integration, software engineering, or equivalent
- 4+ years hands-on experience with AI, LLM-based agents, workflow orchestration, or intelligent automation
- Demonstrated ability to lead automation or digital transformation initiatives in a complex or regulated environment
- Strong understanding of APIs, orchestration, and integration patterns
- Experience with Generative AI, LLM integration, or agent frameworks
- Experience partnering with business executives and driving enterprise-level change
- Strong communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills
