Job Summary
The Principal AI/ML Engineer will lead a multidisciplinary team to develop AI/ML algorithms across various disciplines including object detection, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning. Responsibilities include applying Large Language Models to remote sensing applications, fine-tuning foundation models, and deploying LLM solutions in cloud environments. A BS in a relevant field along with 10+ years of experience in software development or data science is required, particularly with LLM applications. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Required Qualifications
- BS in machine learning, computer science, mathematics, or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in software development or as a data scientist with 2+ years of building LLM applications.
- Experience leading an interdisciplinary team of researchers and software developers.
- Experience with Python and data science/machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- MS or PhD in machine learning, computer science, mathematics, or related fields.
- Experience leading an interdisciplinary team of researchers and software developers
- Experience with any of the following Computer Vision domains: Large Language Models, applying Transformer-based architectures, object detection algorithms such as YOLO and Faster-RCNN, Natural Language Processing algorithms such as BERT, Generative Adversarial Networks, and Reinforcement learning.
- Familiarity with using AWS cloud computing resources such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
- Experience with implementing algorithms on the GPU in Python or C++ using CUDA.
