Job Summary
Principal AI Engineer at Salesforce to build the next generation of our ML/AI platform that powers autonomous AI agents at enterprise scale. You’ll design and implement agent harness infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and sandboxed environments; create end-to-end agent lifecycles from experimentation to production, including versioning and rollback. Responsibilities include building agent flywheels, tool orchestration, memory management, and structured output handling; developing sandboxed execution environments with tiered autonomy and safety controls; establishing evaluation frameworks and observability for agent behavior, latency, cost, and quality metrics; driving continuous improvement via evaluations, A/B tests, and production traces. Key tooling (Python, AWS, CI/CD with GitHub Actions/ArgoCD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes) and experience with agent operations concepts and multi-agent systems are required. Preferred qualifications include Salesforce ecosystem familiarity and data platforms/real-time processing. The role emphasizes architecture, platform vision, and scalability to support agents across marketing, sales, service, and product growth verticals, with a focus on responsible, high-quality agent behavior and secure, efficient execution.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years as a Platform Engineer, ML Infrastructure Engineer, or Software Engineer
- Demonstrated experience building agent harness infrastructure using agentic loops, tool orchestration, structured output handling, multi-turn conversation management
- Hands-on experience with agent evaluation frameworks like Braintrust, LangSmith, or equivalent, including building eval datasets and tracking quality metrics
