Job Summary
Principal AI/Business Intelligence Data Analyst at F5 leads the transformation to AI-enabled decision-making by translating complex business needs into enterprise-scale data and insight solutions. The role drives data connectivity, governance, and AI-ready data foundations, shapes scalable data pipelines and platform capabilities with engineering teams, and guides testing, adoption, and measurable outcomes. It requires strong business-analysis and technical fluency, cross-functional leadership, and a focus on data quality, cataloging, lineage, and metadata to maximize value from data assets across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or related roles, with demonstrated impact on complex, enterprise initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
- Experience leading cross-functional efforts and influencing outcomes across large, matrixed organizations, ideally in SaaS or technology companies with complex data ecosystems
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional delivery environments
- Strong understanding of enterprise transactional systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle EBS, PIM, Marketo, Gainsight)
- Deep understanding of data modeling, data transformation, pipelines, and system integration patterns
- Strong knowledge of data quality, governance, and metadata frameworks at scale
- Strong ability to influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders across Business, Technology, and Data organizations
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python, R, or similar tools for advanced analytics and data manipulation (preferred)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
- Experience with enterprise data catalogs (e.g., Atlan, Collibra, Alation) preferred
- Experience with third-party enrichment data sources (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, ZoomInfo, or similar) preferred
- Knowledge of data lifecycle management and data governance strategies
- Experience leading or shaping analytics, predictive modeling, or AI/ML initiatives
- Ability to translate complex business problems into strategic data requirements and solution frameworks
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate between executive, business, and technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to operate with high autonomy and accountability
