Job Summary
Principal Advisor, Asset Management focusing on fixed asset performance and maintenance. Leads and coaches site teams to identify maintenance gaps, develop measurement and assessment plans, and drive improvements in maintenance efficiency and effectiveness for Teck’s fixed plant operations. Partners with site leadership to implement practical, value-generating maintenance strategies, standards, and processes; supports major projects and outages; requires extensive industrial maintenance experience and ability to translate best practices into site-level improvements; expects 25–40% international travel and hybrid work arrangement in Vancouver, BC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, or a trade certificate and journeyperson experience
- 15+ years of experience in industrial plant maintenance
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance leadership, with progression to senior leadership roles
- Experience with large plant outages and turnarounds
- Demonstrated ability to lead a maintenance organization through change
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Willingness to travel 25–40% internationally (Canada, United States, Chile, Peru)
- Professional accreditation such as P.Eng., CMRP may be considered an asset
