Principal Account Manager - Sales

Job Summary
Own and grow strategic accounts in Korea by identifying and closing opportunities across MIPS RISC-V processor IP licensing and Custom Silicon programs, including NRE and production unit sales. Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships with semiconductor companies, automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and system integrators while serving as the primary regional point of contact from architecture discussions through volume production. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure, delivering accurate revenue and unit forecasts via CRM, and collaborate cross-functionally with FAE, product, and supply chain teams to align technical solutions with customer requirements. Provide insights on Korea market trends, competitive landscape, and customer roadmaps to inform MIPS product strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of semiconductor sales experience in Japan, covering processor IP, ASIC/Custom Silicon, or semiconductor devices
- Proven track record closing multi-million-dollar IP licensing deals and/or design-win-to-production silicon programs
- Strong existing network within Korea's semiconductor, automotive, or industrial electronics sectors
- Understanding of semiconductor business models including NRE, royalties, and unit pricing
- Native-level Korean and business-level English (written and verbal)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Familiarity with RISC-V, CPU/processor architectures, SoC design, or ASIC development flow (foundry, packaging, test)
- Experience selling into automotive (ADAS, IVI, zonal/central compute), Physical AI, or edge markets
- Exposure to both IP licensing and silicon device sales business models
