Job Summary
Greet, register, and check in/out guests while managing room status updates and coordinating with housekeeping and engineering departments. Set up and break down food and drinks, maintain lounge cleanliness, and handle key packets and vouchers with proper controls. Process guest requests, utilize the computer system for daily reports, and employ suggestive selling techniques to promote hotel services. Work continuously in an outdoor environment, standing for up to eight hours, while managing emergency procedures and irate guests with professionalism. Schedule is based on operational needs; on-call rotation applies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be proficient in English (oral and written)
- Must be able to perform general cashiering procedures
- Must be able to multi-task
- TB clearance
- Liquor card (Yellow Card)
- Must be able to handle irate guests and remain calm and friendly
- Must be able to work under pressure, manage stressful situations, and multi-task
- Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- Must be able to verbally communicate in person and over the phone
- Must be able to follow verbal or written instructions
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours throughout work shift
- Be aware that bending, stooping, and lifting items weighing 30 pounds or more may be required
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years customer service experience preferred
