Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and manage automated machinery processes from prototype through commercialization. Configure systems using PLC and HMI techniques, draft detailed technical documentation, and lead solutions to resolve production problems while maximizing reliability and minimizing cost. Audit current equipment to determine failure rates and model output data to analyze performance issues. Adhere to international and local regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement for design, process, and safety considerations. Work with cross-functional teams to define problem statements, coordinate technical solutions, and oversee implementation of new equipment specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience
- Engineering degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
- Up to 25% travel likely
