Job Summary
Supervise day-to-day activities of the in-person and distance learning program while ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of enrolled students. Collaborate with the principal to meet program expectations, maintain clean and orderly school spaces, and conduct regular staff supervision meetings. Manage administrative tasks including accurate timecard approval, student behavior plans, attendance records, and parent communications. Open and close the site for AM and PM shifts, coordinate device logistics for remote learning, and enforce disciplinary procedures as directed. Work Monday through Friday with a split shift schedule, requiring 90% attendance and pre-approved modifications.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have 48 completed college units OR pass the District's Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam
- Must have either a minimum of 12 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field OR a minimum of 12 months documented work experience in an ASES program
- Must have 1 year supervisory experience of children & staff OR 1 year assistant supervisory experience within Harmonium OR demonstrated administrative and programmatic experience
- Must have 1 year working in an afterschool program or group child care setting with elementary and/or middle school aged children
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills required
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid TB results
- Must receive Fingerprint Clearance
- Must have reliable transportation to travel through San Diego County
- Must maintain valid driver's license and current auto insurance when using personal vehicle
- Ability to operate a vehicle
- Ability to lift and carry up to twenty pounds
- Ability to operate a computer
- Ability to sit for prolonged period
- Ability to travel throughout the county with the flexibility required to meet job duties
Desired Qualifications
- Must be able to work at least 90% of all program hours
