Job Summary
Organize and direct age-appropriate activities for students while preparing snacks, aiding with homework, and maintaining a clean, safe learning environment. Administer immediate first aid as instructed, escort children to and from classes, and monitor groups during playground, snack, and field trip times. Distribute instructional materials, manage clerical tasks like attendance reports, and maintain program equipment. Communicate with teachers, parents, and community agencies to evaluate progress and implement program objectives. Prepare logs, reports, and lesson plans to meet mandated requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be 16 years of age
- CPR/Basic First Aid Certified
- Criminal Background Check
- Family Care Safety Registry
- TB Assessment/Testing
- Adhering to safety practices
- Controlling and motivating students
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records
- Basic math knowledge including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios
- Reading a variety of manuals
- Writing documents following prescribed formats
- Presenting information to others
- Understanding complex, multi-step written and oral instructions
