Job Summary
Develop, update, and maintain Primavera P6 schedules for ongoing projects, proposals, and internal programs across heavy civil portfolios in the Gulf Coast region. Build preliminary and final bid schedules that model resource loading, crew logic, and critical path sequencing for scopes including mass excavation, piling, and rail infrastructure. Integrate subcontractor, procurement, and field input into unified project schedules, then develop narratives and lead reviews with project management and superintendents to ensure realistic durations. Perform schedule analysis and recovery planning to identify float erosion, weather impacts, and resource conflicts, while generating monthly updates, earned-value tracking, and executive reporting dashboards. Standardize templates and reporting formats across the company to ensure consistency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent field experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience scheduling heavy civil or industrial projects (earthwork, piling, site prep, or infrastructure)
- Senior-level proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong command of logic, calendars, and resource assignments
- Solid understanding of mass haul, equipment productivity, and sequencing of civil operations
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with field and estimating teams
- This position will be located at the W.T. Byler office in Houston, TX
Desired Qualifications
- Experience integrating cost, resource, and progress data preferred
- Familiarity with TxDOT, refinery, or Gulf-Coast industrial standards is a plus
