Job Summary
Primary Therapist provides comprehensive therapeutic services to clients, including conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering individual and group therapy using evidence-based modalities. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining confidential records, engaging in supervision and professional development, educating clients and families about mental health and coping strategies, and advocating for clients to access additional resources and supports.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution
- CPR Certification
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a therapeutic setting (mental health or substance abuse)
- Experience with diverse populations and complex mental health needs
- Experience developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
- Strong understanding of CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards
- Proficiency in accurate and timely clinical documentation and case notes
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability to meet client needs
