Job Summary
Primary Teacher responsible for planning, delivering age-appropriate lessons aligned with the curriculum; creating an inclusive, safe classroom; employing varied teaching methods; assessing and reporting student progress; providing feedback to students, parents, and guardians; maintaining classroom routines and high professional standards; collaborating with colleagues and school leadership; engaging in staff meetings, professional development, parent-teacher conferences, and school events; addressing individual learning needs including those with special educational needs; integrating technology to enhance learning; upholding safeguarding principles and school policies; fostering a collaborative, respectful learning environment and ongoing teacher development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
- Teaching certification or licensure valid for the specific state, region, or country
- Additional qualifications or training in special education, literacy, or curriculum development (desirable)
- Experience: Previous experience teaching elementary-aged children (typically 1–3 years or more)
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and learning abilities
- Familiarity with the curriculum and educational standards relevant to the school
- Experience in lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management
- Participation in professional development and ongoing teacher training
