Job Summary
The ISS Paraprofessional provides instructional assistance to students placed in the in-school suspension setting and manages student behavior in the BASE classroom. Responsibilities include instructing and modeling replacement behaviors, providing role-play opportunities, monitoring student behaviors, and maintaining communication with classroom teachers and parents. A valid Texas educational aide certificate is required along with a high school diploma or GED. Strong instructional and communication skills, as well as some experience working with children, are essential.
