Job Summary
Permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) Primary School Teacher at an independent AQ Autism Queensland partner site in Rockhampton, delivering planning, teaching and assessment for autistic students in a Lower Primary (P-4) cohort. Teach across key learning areas with small class sizes (6 students), to support neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based learning. Role includes release cover for a peer (Wednesday–Friday), possibility to pick up additional days each fortnight. You’ll be supported by the AQ School team, access flexible learning approaches, and benefit from Not-For-Profit salary packaging and wellbeing programs. Must hold registration with the Queensland College of Teachers and have demonstrated experience with autistic learners. Regular hours with no evenings or weekends, and a commitment to inclusive education and differentiated teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
- Experience working with students with diverse learning profiles
- A passion for inclusive education and differentiated teaching
