Job Summary
Investigating Lawyer role at the Serious Fraud Office in Auckland CBD, 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover (criminal law specialist). The role involves contributing to investigation strategy, undertaking legal analysis, drafting case reports, providing legal opinions to the investigation team, appearing in complex SFO prosecutions, preparing court documents and submissions, and appearing as second counsel at trial, in collaboration with Investigators, Forensic Accountants and Electronic Forensic Investigators. Requires a current practising certificate, four+ years’ practice in criminal law, ability to draft sound advice on complex issues, and strong verbal/written communication. Working in an in-house SFO public prosecutor capacity with opportunities for secondment from other agencies.
