Job Summary
Plan and guide learning processes to help students achieve state standards while maintaining a safe, conducive classroom atmosphere. Interact verbally and physically with students, establish professional relationships, and supervise them throughout the school day. Implement instructional programs that engage learners with varying backgrounds and needs, utilizing technology and modifying resources as necessary. Communicate regularly with parents via PowerSchool and Cognos, collaborate with peers to enhance the environment, and maintain accurate student performance records. Commit to meeting district goals and professional obligations through efficient work habits and continuous in-service education.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or higher in secondary or elementary education from an accredited college or university
- Ohio Teacher license appropriate for subject(s) and grade levels taught
- Must be able to verbally & physically interact with students as needed
- Ability to be professional, compassionate, empathetic, and caring dedicated to human growth and development
- Consistently uses technology for the benefit of students' education
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis
- Maintains licensure requirements and professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and in self-selected professional growth activities
- Communicates in a second language when applicable

- Work experience with children in a multi-ethnic situation preferred
