Job Summary
Primary Care Sports Medicine physician role focusing on leadership and program building within a growing regional sports medicine program. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care for adolescent and adult patients, performing ultrasound-guided procedures (diagnostic ultrasound, PRP, nerve blocks), concussion management, and return-to-play decision making; serving as Head Team Physician for Southern Utah University Athletics and delivering medical coverage for university athletics, local high schools, and community events; collaborating with orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and coaches; driving program development, outreach, and community partnerships; offering opportunities for growth, leadership, and significant involvement in shaping the future of sports medicine in Southern Utah; compensated with a signing bonus and relocation assistance where applicable; location based in Cedar City, UT.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Completion of an accredited Sports Medicine fellowship
- Board certification or eligibility in Primary Care Sports Medicine
- Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license or ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
- Demonstrated interest in athletic coverage, community engagement, leadership, and collaborative musculoskeletal care
