Primary Care Registered Nurse

In-clinic Primary Care RN provides telephone triage, manages patient flow and coordinates care in a busy clinic. Responsibilities include scheduling emergent needs, identifying learning needs for patients and families, inserting intravenous access and administering medications, and delegating tasks to clinical staff according to demonstrated competencies and scope of practice. Serves as a subject-matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing; enters admission orders as directed by a provider; manages expired samples; works collaboratively in a team or autonomously; may cover Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Requires BLS and RN licensure in KS/MO (compact) and an associate degree.
