Job Summary
Conduct physical exams, observe patients, and manage health strategies to improve or manage patient health. Record medical histories, create care plans, and order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests. Diagnose health issues, monitor equipment, and modify treatment plans as needed. Administer medicine, consult with professionals and families, and train patients to prevent illness. Maintain HIPAA compliance, follow CHP policies, and meet the expectation of seeing at least two patients per hour of patient-facing time.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited nursing program
- Licensure in the State of Massachusetts and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP
- Prescriptive authorization
- Experience providing primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
- A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of disease prevention
