Job Summary

Conduct primary care services for adults and older adults (65+), including preventive medicine, neurology, infectious disease, lab, and audiology. Advise and clinically supervise mid-levels while assessing veterans using advanced clinical judgment to identify acute, non-acute, and chronic health problems. Deliver patient-centered care by integrating services with Social Work, Prosthetics, Home Based Health Care, and private nursing homes. Complete medical record documentation in CPRS, establish measurable health goals with patients, and participate in Medical Center committees and Continuous Quality Improvement teams. Engage in formal and informal continuing medical education to stay current on disease management. Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm. Annual salary $250,000–$265,000 plus performance awards.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Completed Internal Medicine Residency Training

Desired Qualifications

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
  • Preferably 5 years of hospitalist experience
